Sun soaks the wetlands
Sunlight captured and fractured in iridescent pools
A prismatic division of light spread through the shallow waters
in an intoxicating elixir of elements
Light in water and water in light
in a solar magic moment

Marsh Marigolds mimic the face of the sun
Spotted Turtles awaken to the warmth
collecting the sun's energy in their sunspotted shell
The beaver dam spills the sunstream onto the lowlands
She shares her waters everywhere
Creating pockets of tadpoles and salamanders
pools of turtles and frogs
